The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), established in 1985 in Sector G-8, Islamabad, serves as the capital’s primary tertiary‑care and teaching hospital. It comprises several units: Islamabad Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Mother & Child Health Centre, Burn Centre, and Cardiac Centre.
